Cookies Policy

Updated on June 10, 2026.

You can review or change your cookie preferences at any time.

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) are used on the https://pulsetic.com website (the “Service”) operated by Designmodo Inc. (“us”, “we”, or “our”), what they do, and how you can control them.

It covers the pulsetic.com marketing website only. The Pulsetic application at app.pulsetic.com and our help center have their own cookie surfaces.

How Consent Works on This Website

The experience depends on where you visit from, detected from your network location using public regional internet registry data. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland (and whenever your location cannot be determined) optional cookies stay off until you opt in: a full banner lets you accept all, reject all, or choose per category. In the United States and other regions, analytics is on by default with a slim notice and you can opt out at any time. Advertising cookies stay off everywhere until you explicitly allow them.

We signal your choice to Google through Consent Mode v2. Where analytics is not granted, Google still receives cookieless, non-identifying pings so overall traffic can be modeled rather than lost. Other optional scripts load only after you agree.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Manage cookie preferences button on this page. When you withdraw consent for a category, we stop the related tracking and delete the cookies that category had already set.

We honor the Global Privacy Control signal: if your browser sends it, we keep advertising cookies off automatically, and analytics too. Visitors in opt-out regions such as the United States also see a Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer, which opens these same preferences.

Strictly Necessary Cookies and Storage

These are required for the website to work and are always active:

  • pulsetic_consent (cookie, 180 days, extended to 365 days once you grant a category). Remembers your consent choice, with a random identifier and a timestamp as a record of the decision.
  • PHPSESSID (cookie, session). Set only on the Is Website Down? checker, where it rate-limits requests to prevent abuse. It expires when you close the browser.
  • Local preference storage. Public status pages remember a “report a problem” vote in your browser’s local storage for about 24 hours so the same problem is not counted twice.

Two always-on tools deserve a mention even though neither sets cookies:

  • Plausible Analytics. Our basic visitor statistics are cookieless: Plausible stores nothing on your device and does not track you across websites.
  • Help Scout. The live chat widget keeps its state in local storage on your device. It sets no cookies.

Analytics Cookies (Only With Your Consent)

If you allow analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the website is used:

  • _ga and _ga_* (cookies, up to 2 years). Distinguish visitors and sessions for Google Analytics.
  • _gid (cookie, 24 hours) and _gat (cookie, 1 minute). Distinguish visitors and throttle request rates.

Until you consent, Google’s Consent Mode keeps these cookies disabled. For more information see the Google cookies overview, and to opt out of Google Analytics everywhere you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Marketing Cookies (Only With Your Consent)

If you allow marketing cookies, the following may be set:

  • Google Ads: _gcl_au and related cookies (about 3 months) measure advertising performance and support remarketing. You can manage interest-based advertising on the Google Ads Settings page.
  • FirstPromoter: _fprom_* cookies credit our affiliate partners when you sign up after following their link. They identify the referring partner, not your identity.

Embedded Videos

Some pages contain YouTube videos. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), and nothing is loaded from YouTube until you choose to open and play a video. When you do, YouTube may set its own cookies as described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Public Status Pages

Status pages hosted on pulsetic.com may load map tiles from CARTO and small flag images from flagcdn.com to display monitoring locations. These requests expose your IP address to those content delivery networks, as any web request does, but set no cookies.

Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Beyond our consent banner, you can view, block and delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the website:

Do Not Track Disclosure

We do not respond to Do Not Track (“DNT”) browser signals. Use the consent banner and the browser controls above to manage tracking on this website.
