Errors subscribing to certain objects via API

An issue with a recent change caused subscriptions to courses and tags via the API to fail to activate new subscribers. The issue lasted from approximately 5pm Pacific on 2016-04-04 until 11am Pacific on 2016-04-05. We have investigated and resolved the error.
